Clothing Collaborative

The Clothing Collaborative & Refugee Resource Center

Sometimes, it’s the smallest comforts that have the greatest impact. Many of the people we serve often have limited access to everyday necessities and resources, including appropriate attire to wear to a job interview or sweaters to wear during a cold winter storm – that’s where you come in!

We are located at: 645 Elmwood Ave., Lower Level, Providence, RI 02907

Opening Hours

The Clothing Collaborative provides free professional clothing to low-income individuals who are completing job training, education programs, or seeking employment. We work with the clients of participating Rhode Island agencies who meet the income and job search criteria of the program. There are currently five locations participating in the Clothing Collaborative Network, including East Providence, Providence, Warwick, Westerly, and Woonsocket.

The Refugee Resource Center provides newly arrived refugee families with everyday household items and clothing. When refugee families resettle in Rhode Island, they often need basic necessities for setting up their new homes. Thus, we assist them by supplying their new living spaces with items they need to get started. Items accepted at the donation center include clean, new, or gently used clothing for adults and children, toiletries, bed & bath linens, dinnerware, and cookware.

What should you donate?

New or gently-used professional clothing — donations should be clothing items that are appropriate for the work place, such as suits, blouses, button-up shirts, blazers, slacks, ties, closed-toed shoes, etc. New or gently-used everyday clothing and basic household items and necessities (for adults and children/babies).
