Education Manager

Do you enjoy doing the back-end work that supports the success of adult education? If so, then perhaps Dorcas International is the place for you.

The Department of Education and Training at Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island offers a full annual calendar of educational programming. We provide on-site English language classes as well as Adult Basic Education (ABE) and high school equivalency classes (GED). The Education Manager will assist with the coordination of the administrative elements of Educational programs, including participation in the organization of schedules and preparation of annual academic calendars; supervision of staff, interns, and volunteers as assigned; development and management of external partnerships in support of programs; and day-to-day management of educational programming.

The candidate should have the following:

  Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in related field preferred.

  Five plus years of administrative experience showing a progression of responsibility.

  At least 1 year of management/supervisory experience.

  Prior experience as an in-class volunteer or teacher is a plus.

  Subject matter expertise/experience in specific content areas.

  Salary range: $43,000 - $46,000
