Brown University’s SNMA Chapter Raises $6,000 for Dorcas International
Brown University's Student National Medical Association Chapter of the Warren Alpert Medical School presented the agency with a $6,000 check at a Dorcas International Board meeting on 11.20.19.
They dedicated their second Annual Fundraising Masquerade Ball on Nov. 2, 2019, to the agency in support of the work we do — and they surprised us even further by presenting a check that was triple their initial fundraising goal of $2,000!
We were so happy to have them at the agency and presented them with a certificate of appreciation for their contribution to Dorcas International.
The Beyond Borders Masquerade Ball was a wonderful night of philanthropy filled with special moments, amazing performances, and incredible speakers who shared their stories (Event Pictures).
Councilwoman Nirva LaFortune also attended and was the keynote speaker. She spoke about her connection to Dorcas International:
“Dorcas International has played a significant role in my life. And I’m standing here today, primarily -- being able to run for office, get elected, vote -- because of the work that Dorcas International did and how they helped my family.”
We are so grateful to SNMA and all those who bought tickets and attended the fundraising ball. This support and generosity truly helps change lives!
