Originally from Iraq, Ali and his family resettled here in February of 2017. Since then, Ali has shared his love of music and performed in the 2018 Welcoming RI Festival, singing a song called “A Star from the Past” by the famous Iraqi singer “Nazem Al-Ghazali.” This year he’s performing again for our Virtual Welcoming RI Festival in solidarity with refugees and immigrants all over the world!
