As the colder months approach, we need your help more than ever to provide warmth and comfort to families and individuals facing tough circumstances. Your donations of essential items make a huge impact in the lives of those we serve.
Sometimes, it’s the smallest comforts that have the greatest impact. Many of the people we serve often have limited access to everyday necessities and resources, including appropriate attire to wear to a job interview, a warm sweater on a cold day, seasonal attire for a myriad of occupations, hygiene products, or household items– this is where you come in!
The Clothing Collaborative, now located at 100 Niantic Avenue in Providence, provides free work and professional attire for wide variety of jobs for low-income individuals who are completing job training, education programs, and/or seeking employment. Seasonal work appropriate clothing, shoes and personal hygiene products for men and women are readily available.
We work with the clients of participating Rhode Island agencies who meet the income and job search criteria of the program. There are currently four locations participating in the Clothing Collaborative Network, including East Providence, Providence, Westerly, and Woonsocket.
When refugee families arrive in Rhode Island, they are most often in need all of the basic necessities to get settled and begin anew. That's where we come in. We provide everything needed to start over, including items for the home and clothing for the family. Refugee families need clean, new, or gently used seasonally-appropriate clothing for adults, teens, and children, new footwear for adults, teens, and children, as well as basic needs.
We've made it easy for you to help our newly arriving refugee families with Restart Kits! Simply choose which type of kit you and/or your colleagues would like to donate!
