Computer Skills / Digital Literacy Seminar

Our seminar would be beneficial to any foreign-born individual living in RI who lacks the necessary technological skills to succeed in the modern world. We'll make sure students know how to use the internet, access their email, apply basic computer skills and file management, understand the basics of Microsoft Office online and G-Suite, protect their privacy online, use the internet to search and apply for jobs, and understand the concept of online visibility, etc.

COVID-19 Updates: all classes are held online

Classes begin Wednesday, March 24. However, we have rolling admissions, meaning you can join the class anytime!

This is a 3-month-long, reoccurring course with rolling admissions, which means that you could complete the course in 3 months whenever you decide to enroll.

The course will be taught weekly on Wednesdays, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Students will need access to a laptop computer for this class. If you do not have one, please contact us as we may be able to provide a low-cost laptop to you. You must be a student enrolled in either ESL or GED classes and be able to speak, read and write English at an intermediate to advanced level to qualify for this seminar.
