Educating, training and empowering all
Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island is the leader of the Greater Providence Adult Education Consortium. And along with our partner agencies — the Center for Southeast Asians (CSEA), the Community Action Partnership of Providence (CAPP), and the Scalabrini Dukcevich Center (SDC) — we offer classes for learning English and American culture, industry-specific job training, GED, and more! Our courses help students reach their educational goals, whether that’s learning English, preparing for college, or gaining valuable work skills. Classes are for both newcomers to the United States and long-time residents.
Each course engages students at whatever level they are currently at with their English speaking, listening, and reading skills. Our teachers run exciting and interactive classes that encourage students to help shape their own learning experiences.
