Intro/Beginner ESL Class
In this class, students will learn basic English language skills, such the alphabet, numbers, common phrases, and giving information when meeting new people. Instructors will also teach students about American culture and government. This class meets four days a week (Monday -Thursday). It is available in the morning and evening. This class is also available once weekly on Saturdays.
Low Intermediate ESL Class
In this class, students will build on their basic English language skills, learning about basic grammar, how to fill out forms, and how to talk about common topics. Instructors will also teach students about American culture and government. This class meets four days a week (Monday - Thursday). It is available in the morning and evening. This class is also available once weekly on Saturdays.
Intermediate ESL Class
In this class, students will practice speaking to strengthen their conversational skills and learn more English grammar. Instructors will also teach students about American culture and government. This class meets four days a week (Monday - Thursday). It is available in the morning and evening. This class is also available once weekly on Saturdays.
High Intermediate/Advanced ESL Class
In this class, students will engage in ESL instruction with helpful information about everyday American life and conversation skills. This class focuses on improving reading, writing, and conversation skills. This class can either conclude a student’s English language education or prepare them to enter college or our GED program. This class meets four days a week (Monday - Thursday). It is available in the morning and evening. This class is also available once weekly on Saturdays.
Family Literacy
This is a class that we offer with host schools in Providence and Central Falls. It is free of charge to parents or those caring for children in the host schools. In this class, students learn English language skills and gain information about how to participate actively in their child’s education and everyday American life. In these classes, adult students are expected to work with a school-age youth on homework assignments and activities.
